Air An Lot

Air An Lot is a traditional Lewis croft in the district of Ness. Air An Lot, which is Gaelic for ‘On the Croft’, offers visitors the opportunity to sample life as a Hebridean crofter – and get their hands dirty!
With a multitude of livestock, there is always work to be done on the croft, and visitors can get as hands on as they like. That may mean bottle-feeding lambs in the spring, handling newly hatched chicks or, everyone’s favourite job, mucking out the hen house!
Air An Lot is run by crofter and Gaelic broadcaster, Donald Macsween, who offers an enthusiastic and unique insight into life as a crofter.
