BAKKA is a young micro business producing sustainable Fair Isle textiles to the highest quality and standards. It preserves Shetland's rich knitwear heritage by using the oldest Fair Isle patterns and colours in a contemporary manner. The outstanding luxury quality is achieved through use of an exquisite Italian 100% superfine merino, unrivalled for its silky softness and drape.
BAKKA currently produces knitted wearables and textiles for interiors. All pieces are knitted in a unique reversible Fair Isle fabric, developed by BAKKA. The pattern on the front is repeated on the back, but with the colours inverted. This eliminates the loops on the back so unsightly in a modern garment.
BAKKA's products are completely sustainable and traceable and we operate a zero-waste policy. All samples and waste pieces are upcycled.
