An Interview with Charlotte Chevalier, Deep Into Soul

Deep Into Soul is a holistic business combining energy healing and dream therapy in order to help women on their healing, self development journey.

Where in rural Scotland are you based and what do you love about living and working there?

I am based in Greenloaning (Perth and Kinross). Living on a farm estate, I could not live without being surrounded with nature, animals... Working with Earth and Nature is a passion, but also one of the way I have to take care of my mental health and happiness.

When did you set up your rural business, and what inspired you to start it?

I created Deep Into Soul in May 2020 with a wee push from a lovely lady from the government. I was at this time still working as a supervisor in a café, but had more people asking for energy healing.

I remember calling gov.uk to get information about setting a business, the lady on the phone told me at some point of the call: “Do you want me to set it up for you? it is very easy.” I instantly told myself that It was a perfect timing after all, and went for it. It was one of the best spur of the moment decision I took.

What is the biggest challenge you face or have faced running your business in rural Scotland?

Trying to learn everything at the same time but also confronting myself on many aspects. I think that being your own boss is one of the most difficult thing I have lived, but there is so much space and opportunity for growth and resilience.

What’s been your biggest achievement so far?

When I see a smile on my clients face because they realised they are strong and capable.

How do you look after your own health and wellbeing while running your business, and why do you think this is so important?

Taking care of my well-being is one of my priority, as it is a part of my spirituality, my learning path but also helps me to serve others in the best way possible. By taking care of myself and experimenting, I also find nice explorations to propose to my clients. I also love to organise, to reflect, so I found my balance quite quickly and have been constantly building a strong foundation for healthy mental patterns.
