Britt Harcus is a freelance illustrator who was born and brought up in Orkney. After studying in Dublin she returned to her roots to begin her artistic career.  Her work represents good cheer and energy and aims to be upbeat and memorable for the viewer.  As a farmer’s daughter Britt is very proud of her upbringing and has a great love for the outdoors.

SKARA Home is a collaboration of award-winning designers, all based in Orkney, offering modern homewares based on an ancient landscape.

From the Cairngorms, Highland and Moray

Angus Grant is an artist and craftsman, whose paintings and ceramics are influenced by the beautiful Cairngorms National Park. He makes candles in his handmade pots also decorates ceramic mugs with his illustrations of Scottish wildlife.

His latest range features Scottish wildlife drawn with tea stains — inspired by a lesson he taught to his secondary pupils during lockdown. Shop his unique products here.

Lena Mittun's 'One of a Kind' (OOAK) handmade textile art products focus on bringing the 'outdoors indoors', so that even on days when we can't go outside we can feel the beauty of nature in our lives. 

Business owner Greta combines several art and textile techniques in her creative process, including eco dyeing, fabric printing, free motion and hand embroidery, to produce high quality pieces of art and products to treasure.

Jenny Charles makes ceramics that have attitude and individuality, inspired by life itself. She predominantly uses a white firing clay, as it is sympathetic to the glaze and the marks made. A variety of methods of construction are used, often combining different techniques on the same piece.

Felicity Martin is a writer and photographer who specialises in travel, outdoor activities and nature, especially walking, woods and wilder places. She has explored, written about and photographed Scotland from the Mull of Galloway to the Stacks of Duncansby, and in the process has acquired a detailed understanding of the country’s rural places and their landscapes, wildlife and culture.

Sheila Roberts is an artist printmaker who works in the traditional way with a metal plate, wax and acid to create fine, detailed, intricate prints. Sheila gathers natural materials from her garden, antique lace and feathers to impress into the wax, gradually building up the plate until the image is complete. These are individually inked and hand printed in a limited edition.

Inez Jenkins is a jewellery maker whose obsession with colour led her to work with dichroic glass, creating unique pieces which make for very special gifts. 

Dichroic glass is a specialist glass which displays two different colours by undergoing a colour change when it either refracts and reflects the light.  Discovering new combinations is a constant source of inspiration to Inez, continually capturing her interest and fuelling her passion for this magical material.
